We've completed all the questions today and we're going to focus on editing the whole video tomorrow. In lesson 2 we went to the art studio and added more content to question 4 and 2. During lunch break we came up with more ideas on what to say for question 3. We then asked three media students what they like and don't like about our final cut, however we used an investigating reporter theme; where Tommy was the explorer / reporter and I was the cameraman. Then, for question 2, I interviewed Grib about the comparisons between "his" three products. Tomorrow, we'll focus on editing the evaluation and if there's anything we need to include, we can do that in the morning.

Blog No.123: Our aims from evaluation

Today we decided to take a more direct approach with our evaluation, including visuals to make it more descriptive and analytic.  Q4: I worked out a plan of action to: 1)  WHAT IS THE EQUIPMENT WE USED : E.G LED LIGHTING  2) POSSIBLY WHERE WE USED IT - SPECIFIC EXAMPLE  3) HOW WE UTILISED IT TO BE EFFECTIVE, SPECIFIC TO OUR VIDEO - E.G WHAT WE WANT TO CONVEY AND HOW WE USED THE EQUIPMENT TO FORFILL THIS Aiming to make the evaluation as unique and accustomed to us as possible.  We felt this way, we could have a more natural and talkative approach, with the same detail as a script.  We attempted to use a script but it looked too artificial.

4) How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages? Blogger: blog our progression. Photoshop: editing images, merge layers, changed the colour for the skylines by manipulating them to the vivid colours we aimed for.  DaFont: used other fonts that were not found in Photoshop or InDesign.  Premiere Pro: editing music video, also useful for editing footage form the green screen, developed on the final cut by including shapes within the silhouette. Typekit: had more professional fonts whereas DaFont had a wider range, which was why we used both sites. Illustrator: created paths for the wave effect. InDesign had more of a structured setting, we couldn't edits paths correctly.

What have you learned from your audience feedback? I've already blogged about feedback from our rough cut . A member from our target audience is basically going to say what they like, what they don't like and what we have improved for our final cut.

Blog No.120: The last questions

Today we've booked camera 4 and a tripod for the whole day tomorrow, it's likely we'll complete question two and three. For question three, we may have to borrow someone to play the role as our target audience. However, days after the release of our rough cut, I interviewed three A-Level Media students and they gave us feedback from our rough cut. It's likely we'll complete one of the questions from the start and end of lesson 2. And then we'll get the other one completed tomorrow afternoon. We've also booked the camera up until the end of school in case there's more stuff we think that needs to be included.
