Blog No.67: Park scene (footage)
We used the location of a park to emphasise the fun the character has missed out on, never experiencing a time to 'let go'. The park is to emphasise the fun and upbeat nature of the song also. It is a lighthearted approach to connect to the audience on their childhood happiness, to highlight how this character is now feeling. This will be where the character embraces the silhouette and plays in the park. But not only that, we used Tommy's car for filming- to mimic the use of a crane / tracking shot. The plan was that I would run down a street and Charlie would film me whilst in the moving car. However, there was another scene we didn't have time to film. It was supposed to be a dark alley near Whitley Bay. However, we have footage in Newcastle of a cobbled alley which we could use instead.
