Blog No.84: Filming in Tynemouth

Charlie, Grib and I filmed on Wednesday night near the coast of Tynemouth during a rainy weather at night. It was supposed to be the scene where the main character breaks free from conformity, throws his work bag away and runs down the road in the rain. It was drenching but worth it - including dramatic effects. One problem was that the camera was out of focus because of the weather. Furthermore, the scene takes place near the ending of the music video. The main character was supposed to be happy that he's free. That's why we've all agreed to improve that scene again tonight in Tynemouth, about 4pm. Good thing is that it's not going to rain but it'll be partly cloudy. They want me in the same costume. This includes a black blazer and trousers and white shirt. I'm also going to bring my work bag as a prop just in case. We need tracking shots (using Tommy's car) of the character running carelessly across the streets and maybe close ups of him smiling. We also need to figure out a brainstormy ending that would involve entertainment and meaning. I suggested that the character would meet the silhouette but the silhouette is supposed to be a metaphor of living in solitude. Whilst we're filming we could figure out an ending we can all agree on.
